Disaster Relief – Connellsville, PA

The First Baptist Church of Connellsville Thanks the American Baptist Women Disaster Relief Mission Group, (in association with (ABCOPAD), American Baptist Churches of Pennsylvania and Delaware) for their efforts this past week to help some victims of the August 28, 2016 flooding in the Connellsville Area. Our church hosted the workers in our building providing shelter, shower and meals.  The meals and meal preparation efforts were shared by First Baptist Church of Connellsville, Olive Branch Baptist Church and Indian Creek Baptist church and we thank our fellow churches for their assistance.  Thank you to Paula Sommerfeldt, Pastor Will and our Christian Education Board and members of the congregation who helped make this relief mission possible and provide the hospitality for the relief workers during their stay.

In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.” Matthew 5:16
